Aaron Kelly Blue Suede Shoes Top 9 American Idol April 13

Aaron Kelly is giving us "Blue Suede Shoes" for the American Idol Top 9 April 13 performance. Adam Lambert met Aaron and thought he under-estimated his musical abilities. Aaron Kelly was a bit pitchy and the performance wasn't fabulous at all.

Randy thought Aaron Kelly should have picked a song that fits his voice better. Ellen gives him a plus for choosing a hard song to sing - she thought he wasn't all the way there but she liked Aaron's performance. Kara observed that Aaron looked "scared" but he made the song current and it worked. However, Simon negated Kara's thoughts - he felt it was somebody from high school was singing. Aaron Kelly is quite comfortable doing an R&B song and he's choosing "Ain't No Sunshine". I think the song is too overused in American Idol but Aaron smoothly gets through it.

Simon said: ”It actually was quite a good performance…you look as if you are embarrassed to be there…you have to take control of the song…absolutely you will be here next week.” Kara agreed by saying: “You have no idea what your talent is…I like the pop country lane for you… I think you did a great job… We’re going to see incredible things from you.” Randy thought that Aaron Kelly has "a huge voice" and that he's a big fan. Aaron Kelly is belong to the American Idol Top 24 contestants leaked list. He went into audition to Dallas but he's from Orlando. Aaron sang a heart-warming rendition of "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus. He's just 16 years old and he won the American Idol Experience in DisneyWorld. Aaron Kelly was adopted by his aunt because his true parents couldn't provide for him and his brother.
