1) How did you get into fashion designs?
It may be a bit cliché, but I wanted to be a designer since I was a child. It also runs in the family. My father was jewelry designer and leather accessories designer. I also have two aunts in fashion, one has her own atelier and the other is in ready to wear.2) What inspired you to get into fashion design?I've always been surrounded by fashion. I loved to be in my fathers atelier, always creating new things, creating beauty. And my mother also has a great sense of style, she's an inspiration to me.
3) Describe your philosophy about art of fashion?
I see fashion as an extension of yourself. It says a lot about your personality, your mood. What you wear is what you are, the first impression you give to people.4) How long have you worked as a designer?
I've worked twelve years in fashion and I'm five years busy as a designer for my own label.5) Do you think social, economic and tecnical factors have affected
fashion over the years?how?
I do think fashion gets affected by social, economic and technical factors. I think fashion adapts to the present situation. You often see new fashion, new trends when times are difficult, when people need changes.fashion over the years?how?
6)What advice do you have for for the young woman who want to be a
fashion designer?
Being a designer is not only having talent. A designer must be an entertainer, a business woman/man, a stage director and an architect. Just loving fashion is not enough. You must be really devoted to your work, and not be discouraged by your entourage. It's hard work, but very grateful work.
7)Where do you buy your fabrics and other materials?A lot of fabrics I use are from China and India for the silk and from Italy for the wool and cotton. Other materials like pearls and stones I buy in France.
8)How do you select your Models?
I like models with attitude, feminity and personality like the clothes I make. It is important to me that they have a presence on the catwalk. Strong women, a bit diva!9)As final note what would make a good fashion show?
