Adam Lambert performed “Born to Be Wild" by Steppenwolf from the film Easy Rider (1969) in the American Idol 4-14-09 Performance. Paula cheered and was obviously thrilled about it. Paula enthused “You dare to dance in the path of greatness… You’re one of the bravest contestants I ever witnessed”. Simon thought “Vocally incredible…it was a little bit like watching the Rocky Horror Musical in parts.”
